Ready for your first day at the new job site? Spend Day 1 on a new job site with the Arc-Decon team and see what we're all about. Here we show you what it is like to work with us, as we prep for a new project.

We start out each job site with a safety orientation, first-aid station prep, site walk-through and drawings review. Following that, our first priority is to safeguard the workspace where we will be operating. Our team takes action to prepare the area and shield various elements such as elevators, carpeting, tiles, doors, furniture, and other items.  During this phase, we conduct site and tool/equipment inspections, checking for PPE, hazards, and making necessary adjustments.

At the beginning of the project, elevator protectors were installed, floor protection was applied, and any possible tripping hazards on the floors were removed. After that, the team went on to load all necessary equipment, supplies, and tools into the allocated area.

After our preparation, we get to work. Typically, new projects kick off by removing ceiling tiles, doors, hardware, and lighting fixtures. Additionally, on Day 1, we allocate time to relocate furniture and eliminate any debris from the area.

As we expand, we consider it crucial to provide our team with constructive learning opportunities. This involves offering paid training, conducting operational assessments, and facilitating mentorship. In our workplace, we frequently match mentors with mentees to help the mentees acquire new skills. During this occasion, we conducted training sessions for our staff on the correct sprinkler and plumbing tagging procedures, safe door removal using a door dolly, and proper ceiling tile removal.

At the end of a busy day at work, we wrap up our tasks and prepare for the following day before leaving. Thank you for tuning in to 'A Day with Arc-Decon', and stay tuned for Day 2.
